Artist's Comments

My teacher was the one who first told me to do still lifes of my hat because it was such a great subject to use. He liked the composition on this one as much as I did saying that it had character. For this I used my hat and a skull found in the skull cabinet, unfortunately not much light hit the subject because of angle issues, so it's mostly shaded. I like the concept and the drawing though, but the shading was totally screwed up.

Once again it's a pen and ink on watercolour wash that I had to photograph due to size.

On a ralated note, my mom says if you come in and look at it from a fresh perspective, and at a distance that it looks like Michael Jackson.

Aww, I like the shading! Plus it is TEH HAT and a skull which is becoming like a trademark for me. XD (not exactly noticable but I wear skull type things all the time like on my choker necklace and in my hair)

It is good you silly boy D:

I woke up thinking about Turkish drummers. Didn't take long- I don't know much about Turkish drummers.

Yeah, I really enjoyed doing it. I might head out to the mall sometime and just spend a day in the food court drawing stuff like this.
